What you Can Do to help

The items listed below are what we have found to help us achieve our charity goals most efficiently. All items must be from a smoke free environment. Please note that we will certainly find a home for any other yarn or fabric items you wish to donate! Any cash donations or donations via our website will go towards purchasing supplies.

KNIT/CROCHET FINISHED ITEMS:

Baby blankets, finished size approximately 20” x 24”

Baby hats, 11”-14” around, 6” tall

Chemo hats, 16” x 9” with hem (soft yarns)

Hero Hats, 22 ½”-24” around, 12” tall with 2” hem, red/white/blue

Homeless hats, 22 ½”-24” around, 12” tall with 2” hem

Scarves, 4”-6” wide x 36”-48” length

QUILTED/TIED/SEWN FINISHED ITEMS:

Homeless quilts, (cotton or flannel), approximately 40”-44” X 60”-66”

Hospice/nursing home quilts (cotton or flannel), approximately 36” x 44”

Juvenile quilts, (cotton or flannel), approximately 36” x 44”

Pillowcases; juvenile or adult

Lion Brand’s Pound of Love Yarn in Cherry, Navy, and White, plus any other colors

Caron’s Pound of Yarn in Scarlet, Claret, Bright White, Royalty and Midnight Blue, plus any other colors

Caron’s Simply Soft, any colors; Michael’s Brand Soft and Shiny, any colors

Batting, minimum 44” wide; Gallon size zip lock bags; Gift cards to Joann’s/Hobby Lobby/Michael’s

100% Cotton fabrics or flannel; yardage, or 8” or 10” squares; suitable for juvenile or adult

We need cotton yarn to make children hats for Shriners Hospital.  The cotton hats keep their heads protected from the sun.
